The first Connector Belkast was asked to develop was a JDBC Connector, which was great because one of our employees had come from a Database administrator background. He was therefore familiar with not only database scripting but also troubleshooting potential issues.
Often times, the Connector development involves not only the Identity Management portion but also the application configuration too. Therefore, any developer is often required to wear two hats:
- Needs to know how the Identity Manager Connector works
- Needs to have some knowledge of how the application works
